Best time to book a photoshoot - Melbourne Photographer

The best time for an outdoor photoshoot is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. This is because the lighting from the sun can be very harsh during the day. You can also get those beautiful ‘golden hour’ shots if you plan to do an early or late shoot! This is most relevant for our maternity photoshoots, family photoshoots, pet and equine photoshoots. If morning and late afternoon don’t suit you no stress, if you have a location in full shade this will work best for midday shoots.

Now newborn photography is another story. Newborns tend to be a bit sleepier and less fussy earlier in the day, so I try to plan for a morning shoot. I can do newborn photoshoots in the comfort of your own home, or an outdoor  lifestyle shoot. If I am coming to you for a newborn shoot lighting is still a consideration, however being indoors we will utilise my photography lights that I bring to you and also the use of natural light if available through your windows.

Feel free to message me with any questions or to book. I look forward to hearing from you.
